Накануне очередных выборов президента происходит именно то, чего так не хотелось бы правящей элите страны — убийство в резиденции спикера Госдумы, раскрыть которое по горячим следам не удаётся. Похоже, что кто-то решил продемонстрировать избирателям беспомощность и никчёмность существующей власти. Полковника милиции Льва Ивановича Гурова, которому поручили эту работу по пожеланию самого спикера, высокая политика совершенно не интересует — ему просто надо найти и задержать убийцу. Am Vorabend der nächsten Präsidentschaftswahlen passiert genau das, was die herrschende Elite des Landes nicht so gerne hätte - ein Mord in der Residenz des Staatsduma-Sprechers, der nicht aufgedeckt werden kann. Es scheint, dass jemand beschlossen hat, den Wählern die Hilflosigkeit und Wertlosigkeit der bestehenden Regierung zu demonstrieren. Der Oberst der Miliz Lew Iwanowitsch Gurow, der auf Wunsch des Sprechers mit dieser Arbeit beauftragt wurde, interessiert die hohe Politik überhaupt nicht - er muss nur den Mörder finden und festnehmen. Und das wollen bei weitem nicht alle... („Das Blut ist scharlachrot“)
anos 1990. Às vésperas de uma nova eleição presidencial, o que a elite governante do país não gostaria de fazer é um assassinato na residência do Presidente da Duma que não pode ser revelado. Parece que alguém decidiu mostrar aos eleitores a impotência e a falta de poder. O coronel da milícia, Leon Ivanovic Gurov, que foi encarregado deste trabalho por desejo do próprio Presidente da Câmara, não interessa à política alta. Ele só precisa de encontrar e prender o assassino. E nem todos querem isso... («Sangue alado»)

À la veille de la prochaine élection présidentielle, il se passe exactement ce que l'élite dirigeante du pays ne voudrait pas tant - un meurtre dans la résidence du président de la Douma d'Etat, qui ne peut pas être résolu sur la voie chaude. On dirait que quelqu'un a décidé de montrer aux électeurs l'impuissance et l'inaptitude du pouvoir actuel. Le colonel de la milice Lev Ivanovich Gurov, qui a été chargé de ce travail selon le souhait du président lui-même, ne s'intéresse pas du tout à la haute politique - il doit simplement trouver et arrêter le tueur.
