The book describes the properties of metal-ceramic hard alloys used to reinforce the tool during cold upsetting and extrusion, as well as the design of the hard-alloy tool and the technology for its manufacture. Analysis of the nature of wear and causes of tool failure is given. Technical and economic efficiency of using carbide tools for cold setting and extrusion is considered.
