In accordance with the program of the course "Ship Machines and Mechanisms," the design, principle of operation and the basis for the calculation of ship pumps, compressors, water desalination plants and other auxiliary mechanisms are considered. Based on the experimental data, recommendations are given on measures to reduce cavitation in centrifugal pumps.
