The textbook was published by the Main Armored Directorate of the USSR Ministry of Defense as a textbook for higher tank engineering schools. It sets out the patterns of movement in various conditions, gives an analysis of the effect of the characteristics of the power plant, transmission, tracked propulsion and external conditions on the speed of the tank.
