For the first time in Russian historiography, the topic of the activities of the Soviet intelligence special services in the United States, previously absolutely forbidden for participants in events and domestic researchers, is comprehensively considered in the years indicated in the title. Almost all currently available materials stored in Russian and foreign archives and available publications were used.
