Russian-Lao dictionary of this volume is published for the first time. From dictionaries published in the early 80s of the XX century, this publication is distinguished by a significantly expanded dictionary, an updated interpretation of words, the composition of phraseology, the introduction of a wide illustrative base, a new system of droppings and grammatical characteristics. It includes approximately 24,000 of the most common words and expressions of the modern literary language, extensive phraseology and the most common scientific and technical terminology. The translation into Lao of most of the phraseological combinations of the Russian language included in the dictionary is given for the first time in the history of Russian-Lao lexicography.
