The textbook describes the design of artillery barrels and muzzle devices. Particular attention is paid to the strength calculations of monoblock barrels, fastened and layered barrels, their vibrations during the firing process, as well as increasing the survivability of the barrels during operation. Features of calculation of barrels of small arms and hunting weapons are given. Some aspects of the manufacture of barrels and their combat operation are considered. The book will also be useful for engineers and technicians involved in the design of artillery and small arms.
