Based on extensive archival and previously published material, the author gives a history of peasant wars in the second half of the 17th and early 18th centuries. In this work, an attempt is made to establish the periodization of the history of the era of feudalism and serfdom in connection with the largest revolutionary movements and to show the ratio of class forces on the eve of the "Peter's reforms."
