May Austria never have barricades again, May the Austrians never fight with arms against the Austrians, let's draw a line under the past! These and similar phrases can be constantly heard - especially when it comes to the February events of 1934 - from the heads of the SPA, ANP and APS, and the latter would like to consign even the bloody Nazi dictatorship to oblivion. As for historians - members of these parties or who consider themselves politically neutral, they, analyzing the battles of 1934, try to evenly distribute light and shadows: as if everyone was to blame and everyone allegedly learned the appropriate lessons, evidence of this is the course of events after 1945. We, the Communists, do not want to retroactively evenly distribute light and shadows, look, like the SPA and the ANP, for those responsible everywhere, since this is consistent with their modern politics. We want to give the historical truth as it was: to show the class struggle and its aggravation as a result of the First World War and after it and the resulting course of events. This book serves this purpose.
