New Yorker is an American magazine of reportage, commentary, criticism, essays, fiction, cartoons, satire and poetry published by Conde Nast Publications. Starting with the weekly in the mid-1920s, the magazine is now published 47 times a year, with five of these issues covering two-week periods. Although his reviews and event listings often focus on New York cultural life, The New Yorker has a wide audience outside of New York City and the United States. This is well known in commentaries on popular culture and eccentric America; his focus on contemporary fiction by incorporating short stories and literary reviews; its thorough fact-checking and copying; his journalism on world politics and social issues; and his famous single-panel cartoons rained down on every issue.
