Aristotle's published treatise "Athenian Politics" is one of the most important documents from the history of ancient slave society. "Athenian Politics" is the most important surviving "politics" (out of 158), the original of which, recorded on papyrus, was found in 1890. "Athenian politics" contains rich factual material characterizing the social structure of the Athenian state before the period its decomposition. The ideologist of the slave class, the "most comprehensive head" among ancient Greek philosophers, Aristotle not only describes the history of Athenian democracy, but at the same time develops his views on the theory of state.
