""Captain's daughter" appeared in print a month and a half before the death of Pushkin, without designating his authorship, and was not essentially appreciated by criticism during the life of its creator. The interpretation of this simple in form, but ideologically very complex work had a long history. Therefore, in the new edition, as in the first, there is a special section on the "Captain's Daughter" in criticism and literary criticism. In the second edition, this section is supplemented with new data.
