The manual contains basic concepts, definitions of the finite element method (FEM), derivation of stiffness matrices related to the calculation of rod systems under tension-compression, torsion, bending, complex types of loading of rods. Examples of solving the corresponding problems of the course of resistance of materials by the finite element method and the problem for self-solution are given.
