Gregory Bateson (1904-1980) - British, then American philosopher, anthropologist and psychologist, methodologist of biology and human science. Transferring ideas from one discipline to another and linking data from different sciences into logically harmonious explanatory models, Bateson left the brightest mark in a number of sciences, including psychology.
