This collection contains articles by historians, philologists, cultural scientists, library and museum workers, whose combined efforts held a scientific conference in Yekaterinburg (December 14-15, 2012). A separate cycle (block) of articles is devoted to the personality of the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. An important part of the collection was the reception of the events of the Patriotic War of 1812 in the state and auto-documented literature of the 19th century.
