The book of the famous American theoretical physicist K. Huang is devoted to modern ideas about the structure of particles and their interactions. Strong, electromagnetic and weak interactions of particles are considered in a single way within the framework of the concepts of quarks, peptons and vector gauge fields. The main theoretical results of this approach are presented and unresolved problems are indicated.
