The memoirs of the legendary general M.G. Drozdovsky (1881-1919) tell about the events of the Civil War in Russia and cover 1918-1919. The author's impressions of the famous campaign of the Drozdovites - the march along the Iasi-Don route - are especially interesting. As an appendix to the diary, fragmentary notes for 1915-1917 are given, vividly characterizing the personality of the general who became the legend of the White movement.
