The monograph is devoted to important and little-studied aspects of the history of the Crimean Tatars: the organization and tactics of the armed forces of the Crimean Khanate. It was the army that was the "last argument" of the Crimean khans, the main tool for promoting state interests in the international arena. The Crimean Tatar cavalry had a huge and multifaceted impact on the history, culture, demography and economy of Central-Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, for more than two centuries being one of the strongest armies in the region.
