Collective scientific work "Europe of Saints. The Social, Political and Cultural Aspects of Holiness in the Middle Ages" is the fruit of research work by scholars from Russia, Hungary and Ukraine studying the political, cultural and social aspects of the history of holiness and cults of saints in the West and East of Europe in the Middle Ages and early modern times. Folklorists, philologists and art historians, as well as specialists in the history of not only the Western European Middle Ages, but also Ancient Russia, Byzantium and the Christian East were invited to participate in the preparation of this book. The book is intended for historians, anthropologists, culturologists, art historians, as well as everyone who is interested in the Middle Ages and the history of religion.
