The book is dedicated to the description of the Six Yogas of Naropa, the famous tantric practices of Buddhism. Naropa, an outstanding Indian mentor of the 11th century, played an extremely important role in the history of Tibetan Buddhism. He made a decisive contribution to the spread of numerous tantras - primarily the traditions of Kalachakra, Guhyasamaja, Hevajra and Chakrasamvara, as well as to the development of a special cycle of completion stage practices known as the Six Yogis. The present edition includes six of the most famous texts on the Six Yogas of Naropa, including Naropa himself, his teacher Tilopa, and Tsongkhapa the Great. The texts are translated by a modern specialist in the literature of the Buddhist Tantra, Glenn Mullin, who has lived in the Himalayas for more than twelve years in constant spiritual communication with Tibetan teachers.
