In his work, the author does not pretend to a complete study and generalization of the work of the outstanding director of the Soviet theater E.B. Vakhtangov. But even in this form, N. Gorchakov's book quite widely acquaints the reader with Vakhtangov's views on theatrical art, with the peculiarities of his directing and theatrical pedagogy.
