In a monograph written on the basis of his Ph.D. thesis, the author submits his own vision of the socio-political portrait of the Ukrainian hetman Pavel Teteri (1663-1665). His activities have not yet received proper coverage in historiography, which created a serious gap in the study of political processes in the Ukrainian state of the 60s. XVII century. the same assessments of the hetman's policy that are present in scientific studios are distinguished by their polarity. This is what created the need to publish materials that were the result of the author's long work on this topic.
