An attempt was made to classify waste and systematize existing and developed processes for its processing. The origin of the waste is explained. Over 300 processes for the extraction of metals and inorganic compounds from waste have been described. The technology of each specific process of extraction and recycling is presented and possible options for waste disposal are described.
