Heterogeneity of students in educational institutions is a key issue considered in the sociology of education [see, for example: Coleman 1966, Jencks 1972, Oakes 1985, Giddens 1999, Bourdieu, Passron 2007]. An aspect of such heterogeneity is the unequal attitude of students to study at the university. For example, at the university, some students attend all classes with interest, try to resolve questions about the course material with teachers, carefully perform homework of varying complexity, and also participate in additional educational events.
