The collection continues a series of collective works of the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) of the USSR Academy of Sciences, dedicated to the work of the most prominent Soviet writers - L.M. Leonova, M.A. Sholokhova, N.S. Tikhonova and others. The basis of the book is the materials of a scientific conference held by the Pushkin House in May 1985 in connection with the 75th anniversary of the birth of the largest Soviet poet of the 20th century A.T. Tvardovsky.
