In 2015, November 1427, marked the 130th anniversary of the blessed death of one of the most revered Russian Svyatogorsk ascetics and mentors - the old confessor of the Russian monastery on Mount Athos of St. Panteleimon, Hieroschimonakh Jerome (Solomentsov). During his life, up to eight hundred brothers gathered in the monastery, which testifies to the highly spiritual fertile atmosphere created by the works of Father Jerome, on which the seal of God's choice clearly rested. This also suggests that they went to the monastery for the sake of Father Jerome, seeing the sanctity of his life, wanting to become like him in Christian virtues, they went to become members of a spiritual monastic family led by a godlike confessor in love.
