A wide range of hardware (hardware and software) designed to build modern process control systems is considered - industrial computers and controllers, features of creating their software, digital industrial networks, the possibility of organizing a human-machine interface, communication devices with objects, etc. The tasks of various levels of APCS and the means for integrating these levels - SCADA systems and OPC servers - are determined.
