The book is dedicated to a little-studied fragment of the history of Marxist philosophy - its unfulfilled fate in Great Britain, the country of classical capitalism. In almost a century of discussions about materialistic dialectics in the party and academic circles of England, its transformation into "dynamite," the official doctrine of the Comintern, revealed the scientific sterility of dialectics, its apologetic function. The appearance in the middle of this century in university programs, depoliticized independent Marxism, awakens historical and philosophical interest in it, which, according to the author, marks a kind of happy end to this confusing story.
