Chronicles tells of the adventures of the Wadhag prince Korum Jailin Irsi, also called the Prince in the Scarlet Mantle. The Wadhag race peacefully lived out their term in castles scattered across the continent, when the mabdens (people) who came from the neighboring continent begin to destroy the castles one by one, killing all the Wadhags.
