More than two hundred folk art crafts originated on the Nizhny Novgorod land. Many of them have received wide recognition not only in our country, but also abroad. Traditionally, the Nizhny Novgorod Territory is considered the birthplace of the golden Khokhloma, Semyonov matryoshka, Chkalovsky hypure. The city of craftsmen is called Gorodets, where embroidery, painting and woodcarving, gingerbread printing, pottery and many other crafts flourish to this day. One of the main attractions of the region is the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. This is a unique ensemble that combines the severity of medieval fortress walls and towers and the grace of classical buildings of the 19th century. Created in accordance with the highest achievements of military-defensive art, with numerous sieges, it has never been captured by the enemy.
