A wide range of design issues for mechanical drive devices was considered. Both traditional methods of calculating, designing and optimizing drive elements - gear and friction gears of various types, bearing supports, couplings, shafts and axles, and new, modern concepts and approaches that ensure the creation of original designs of components and parts of devices and a significant improvement in the service properties of a mechanical drive are described.
