Both polar regions located around the North and South poles of the Earth, in the truest sense of the word, are white spots. At first glance, they appear to be icy deserts. In fact, they are full of life, and the smallest organisms play the most important role here - after all, the existence of both a polar bear and a blue whale depends, after all, on tiny seaweeds.
