The book tells about the fate of the Kuchum dynasty - the last Tatar khan of Siberia. After Yermak conquered the Siberian Khanate, during the XVII century. The Kuchumovichi tried to maintain power over some of the former subjects, resist the new rulers of the region, entering into alliances with the Kalmyks and adjoining the anti-Russian rebellions of the Siberian peoples. In the end, the struggle for revenge was lost by them, and most of the Siberian-Tatar princes ended up in the Moscow state. There they gained an honorary status, befitting the persons of the "royal" blood, and until the beginning of the XVIII century. were in the ranks of the highest aristocratic elite of Russia. The study is based on numerous sources, including rare archival materials.
