The book offered to your attention is a modest attempt to highlight in documentary essays the circumstances of the heroic death of ships and sailors of the Northern Shipping Company during the Great Patriotic War. Nothing should be forgotten - neither heroic nor tragic. People should always remember at what cost the Victory came, remember those who gave their lives for us living. This is the purpose of my book - a kind of requiem for the dead ships and people.
