The book contains photographs of Soviet monuments and monuments that I shot during ten years of trips to the former Union republics. These are monuments dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, science and progress, revolutionary events and outstanding personalities of that era. Already, some of these monuments have been destroyed, others will soon be gone. The purpose of the book is to show the greatness and beauty of Soviet monuments, the skill of their authors and call for their preservation.
