The first volume of this study is limited to the selection and pragmatic presentation of materials for the period from October 1917 to August 1918, when the Entente powers negotiated among themselves about interference in the affairs of the Russian Revolution and made, separately, abortive attempts at such interference. This volume is the experience of the political and diplomatic chronicle of these negotiations and attempts. I had to limit myself to the selection of official, official and newspaper material, but I dare to believe that this material was selected with sufficient completeness.
