The dictionary is the fifth issue of a series of dictionaries of animal names representing all systematic groups of the world's fauna. The dictionary includes 11,046 names of species and superspecific taxa of insects in five languages. The material is arranged in a systematic order in accordance with the classification adopted in modern domestic entomological literature.
