The manual sets out the basics of heat engineering (the basics of thermodynamics, the theory of heat and mass transfer and the theory of combustion), which constitute the necessary and sufficient minimum so that in the future a specialist can independently deepen knowledge in certain areas of applied heat engineering. The principles of operation of heat machines are shown in detail.
