The civilization that gave the world Homer, Plato and Euripides created the greatest examples of musical art. Despite the fact that our contemporary cannot hear genuine ancient music, he can learn about those masters who created it. In this book, the reader will find numerous information not only about outstanding musicians, but also about a wide variety of instruments that sounded in ancient Greece, as well as about some important features of her musical life. A separate chapter of the book is devoted to describing the history of the invention of the organ in the Roman era and those who designed it. Here are given ancient evidence (some of them are translated into Russian for the first time), transmitting the construction of the earliest organs.
