The topics of theoretical and experimental research of electrical and radio circuits, analog and digital filtering, algorithms and digital signal processing devices, traditional for this area, are considered. Much attention is paid to the issues of theoretical justification of methods for optimal processing and generation of signals, modeling of systems and assessment of their noise immunity. New results in the field of detection and evaluation of temporal parameters of pulse signals, obtained with the participation of the author and published in educational and scientific publications of the St. Petersburg University of Aerospace Instrumentation, are presented. The main theoretical conclusions and recommendations are supported by examples of calculations and simulations in the Matlab system.
