The book describes various methods of cutting teeth of cylindrical and bevel gears and their main geometric parameters. It gives recommendations on the rational operation of toothing machines and tools, the choice of the technological process of processing gears, describes the methods of setting up toothing machines, analyzes the possible causes of errors in the manufacture of gears. Particular attention is paid to the issues of ensuring the required accuracy of gears in relation to mass production conditions, cutting modes and methods for monitoring cylindrical and bevel gears are given.
