In order to preserve the memory of coronation celebrations for posterity, the Moscow Governor-General ordered to invite the best artists of Moscow and St. Petersburg to the Mother See. They had to not only capture the moment of coronation, but also the festivities of the people, and on the basis of field drawings to ensure the release of several visual and representative albums. One of these albums was released in the same year by the famous publisher German Goppe. The first part is devoted to the history of the coronation of the entire Romanov dynasty. In the second part, literally by the hour, the coronation of Nikolai Alexandrovich and Alexandra Fedorovna is scheduled.
