In Soviet times, all documentary materials directly or indirectly related to political repression in the USSR were prudently, from the thirties, classified and carefully protected by territorial state security agencies, in the archives of which they were constantly stored. Thirty-five archival sources have been selected and carefully commented for this documentary publication, conceived many years ago. All of them are substantively, albeit, at first glance, and invisibly, somehow interconnected, since they are united by one common terrible topic - falsification of the investigation by state security agencies in 1937-1938.
