The novel "The First Shot" is the last work of the writer Georgy Pavlovich Tushkan. He brought the final chapters of the novel to the publishing house a few days before his sudden, untimely death. The action of the novel unfolds against the historical background of the events of the pre-revolutionary years in Ukraine and the civil war in Crimea. The hero of the novel, Yura Sagaidak, despite the fact that he lives in the small resort town of Sudak, far from the centers of revolution and counter-revolution in southern Russia, turned out to be a witness and participant in many formidable events.
