When a strange film hits Daphne Marrity, causing people to have attacks of pyrokinesis that burn everything around, she and her father Frank fall into the center of a world conspiracy, which involves not only state special services, but also a secret society created back in the Middle Ages. Soon a blind killer attacks his father, and a ghost speaks to Daphne directly from the turned off TV, and gradually Marrity realizes that the true history of the 20th century has little to do with the one set out in the textbooks, and reality is much worse than it seems. Only this is still half the trouble, because now the father and daughter have become participants in a terrible game, the defeat in which is worse than death, since they got the key to the destruction of not only what will happen, but also what has already happened. And it all has something to do with Albert Einstein's latest invention, Charlie Chaplin and William Shakespeare's The Tempest.
