Children's and youth magazine "Lefty" - an appendix to the magazine "Young Technician" - for those who like to make. "Lefty" has been published since 1972 (previously under the name "UT for skillful hands"). In 1991, the magazine changed its name and began to be called "Lefty" in honor of the hero of the eponymous tale N. S. Leskov, a skilled blacksmith who forged a flea. The magazine publishes descriptions of various homemade products: toys, existing and bench models (patterns for paper models are published), electronic devices; also tips and guides on home improvement and summer cottages (manuals on self-manufacture of furniture, garden tools, etc.)
