The book contains very up-to-date information on the features of modern VLSI technologies, level 130-90 nm, which must be known and taken into account when designing. This information is set out in the first section (chapters 1-3). The second section (chapters 4-9) describes the corresponding design techniques at the physical level for mixed signal circuits and analog components, memory circuits, methods for reducing power consumption, input-output circuits and protection against electrostatic discharge, signal integrity taking into account long interconnections. In the third section (chapters 10-11), design techniques are considered that ensure an increase in the yield and accounting for process variations. It should be noted that before the appearance of this book, there was simply no system manual for developers of modern VLSIs at the transistor level. The book will be very useful not only for designers, but also for process engineers who develop new technologies and relevant design rules.
