Alexander Alexandrovich Genis (born in 1953) - Russian American writer, essayist, literary critic, critic, radio host. Alexander Genis was born in Ryazan, grew up in Riga. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the University of Latvia. In 1977 he emigrated to the United States, lives in New Jersey.
