The book highlights the research carried out at the Kurchatov Institute Research and Development Center on the physics of high-temperature nuclear reactors used for aircraft and ground-based power plants. The physical features of reactors of this type are considered and theoretical and experimental methods for their consideration in the design of nuclear power plants for various purposes are proposed.
