"45th Parallel" is a novel based on documentary diaries 2005-2006. "We (my mother and I) came from the strict Muslim world, as if we had arrived from another planet, we are refugees. We got to someone else's land, where the culture is completely different. But what is she, this life without war? We find no reassurance or help from the state, we are forced to survive every day.
